Unlike traditional video cameras that capture only what's directly in front of the lens, 360 camera setups capture what's in front, behind, on the sides, and even below and above. Like an action camera, some 360 degree video devices are handheld camcorders, while others mount to a stationary object like a tripod, or a moving one, such as a vehicle, person, or drone.
