Alpha Connect Day

Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., through its division company Sony South East Asia ("Sony") & CameraLK Pvt Ltd. is responsible for this Alpha Connect Day (“Event”).

Sony & CameraLK reserves the right to cancel the Event and/or amend the terms and conditions of this Event (“Terms and Conditions”) at any time without prior notice.

Qualifying Entrants

1.The Event is open only to residents of Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. For the avoidance of doubt, foreigners living in Cambodia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with a local residential address may participate in the Event.

2.Registration must be submitted via the online submission form https://www.cameralk.com/event/alpha-connect-day-2024/register Any other forms of submission will not be accepted.

3.Registration will close once the maximum number of sign-ups (as determined by Sony & CameraLK in its sole discretion) has been reached.

4.By registering for the Event, you agree to indemnify Sony & CameraLK against any and all claims in relation to your participation in this Event and breach of its Terms and Conditions contained herein. Sony & CameraLK rights are hereby expressly reserved.

5.Employees of Sony and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies of Sony & CameraLK together with their employees, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each of the aforesaid persons are not eligible to participate in this Event.

6.Sony & CameraLK reserves the right to disqualify and/or exclude any entries from the Event, for any reason and for no reason, including without limitation, violation of any portion of these Terms and Conditions.

Event Rules

1.The Event is a competition that comprises two categories. All participants must select one or both Event categories: “Photo”, “Video” or “Photo and Video”.

2.Participants can use any brand of digital camera during the Event.

3.Storage format accepted are CF / SD / MMC / XD / MS formats. Participants using other formats must supply their own relevant adaptors / drives. Sony & CameraLK shall not be held liable for the inability to read / download images /loss of images.

4.All submitted photographs/videos must be taken on 23rd of March 2024.

5.Only 1 photo/video submission is allowed per theme. There will be 1 photo theme and 1 video theme only.

6.Submitted photographs/videos must not be altered by any editing software.

7.Participants must submit their entries personally. No proxy submission by any participant is allowed during the event.

8. Sony & CameraLK will not be responsible for providing photographic equipment including camera, spare batteries, lenses or additional memory cards. All participants are expected to come prepared with all their photographic equipment.

9.No changes to participants’ submissions will be allowed once the participant provides the file to the organizers of the Event.

10.You shall hold Sony and CameraLK all its officers, directors, and employees free and harmless from any liability arising from claims or suits of third parties, including costs and expenses incidental thereto, in connection with the use of the Event entry.

Photo Category

1.Participants will receive both photo and video themes at 09:30am LKT on 23rd March 2024 and will proceed to explore the area (no set location, participants are allowed to go anywhere to shoot at their own discretion).

2.Participants must submit one photograph before 02:00pm LKT.

3.All photographs submitted must be in JPEG format.

4.There is no limit on the file size.

5.Submitted photographs must not be altered by any editing software.

Video Category

1. Participants will receive the videography theme at 09:30am LKT on 23rd March 2024

2. Participants must submit one video before 03:00pm LKT.

3. All videos submitted must be in XAVC S, XAVC HS, MOV, AVI

4. Video resolution should not be higher than 1080p and aspect ratio should be 16:9

5. There is no limit on the file size

6. The length of the video must be 1 minute or shorter.

7. Only the first 1 minute of the video will be judged if the video length is longer than 1 minute.

8. Voice over, background music, basic cutting, combining of footage is allowed.

9. Special effects, color editing is not permitted.

Event Entries

1. By registering for the Event, each participant thereby (a) specifically authorizes Sony & CameraLK to use and/or license third parties to use, without compensation, gain or rewards, a non-exclusive and irrevocable license to use, republish, edit and/or modify the Event entries in any media for marketing and promotional purposes which include but not limited to publication at Sony & CameraLK’s store; (b) represents and warrants that all elements contained in the Event entry (i) is original to the participant or fully cleared for use as contemplated herein, (ii) does and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement the participant may be a party to, (iii) does not contain libelous, tortuous, or the publication or sale of which will violate any federal or state statute or regulation, (iv) is not obscene or in any other manner unlawful, and (v) shall not require Sony & CameraLK to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity as a result of Sony & CameraLK's use or exploitation of the same. You shall also indemnify and hold harmless Sony & CameraLK and its affiliates from and against any claim, action, damage, loss and costs and expenses (including legal fees and professional fees) arising from or in connection with any breach of the foregoing.

2. Winners shall agree to be contacted by Sony & CameraLK or its authorized representatives to participate in public relations events tied to the Event to generate press coverage of the Event and the accessories range. This may include, but not be limited to, quotes given for inclusion in press releases and press conferences, interviews, etc.

3. Sony & CameraLK reserves the right to disqualify all entries that do not meet the rules and regulations of the Event. These include entries submitted with invalid or incorrect information.

4. Unfair or unethical methods of participation may result in disqualification.

5. Sony & CameraLK ’s decision for all Winners is final.
